The Last Time We Met
A small but very productive club assembly about RotaFest 2019 was held last time we met. That despite the distraction of the greatly loved and often maligned (or did I mix that up?) PP Alan being in attendance. Alan already spoke to Mike’s Restaurant to get them on board for our biggest fundraiser. Dozens of restaurants were discussed and Rotarians agreed to contact them. Thank you to Marc for agreeing to organize the list of participating restaurants. You should have received an email from Marc with the game plan. If you know of other restaurants that would be able to participate, please let Marc know. And a reminder, due to some issues last year, please let the participating restaurants know that the Seaport cannot supply any chafing dishes or sterno (or other serving supplies). Also, remind them that they will not be able to cook anything in the Seaport kitchen.
VISITORS AND GUESTS: Past President – Alan Freitas

Odds and Ends
ROTAFEST 2019 (Repeated again this week in case you forgot to read it)
Due to a scheduling conflict, the date of RotaFest 2019 has moved to May 9th. Please start asking restaurants to participate. Mark has put together a form which you can get from him. Due to some issues last year, please let the participating restaurants know that the Seaport cannot supply any chafing dishes or sterno (or other serving supplies). Also, remind them that they will not be able to cook anything in the Seaport kitchen. Evidently, last year the cook was asked to cook/grill for one of the restaurants. We would like to have all restaurants committed by the end of February to get their names on the poster.

One More Thing – An Orren Classic
The live-wire salesman walked into the factory and demanded an interview with the manager. "Look here, sir", he began energetically, "I'd like to talk to your men and sell them my correspondence course on how to put fire and sparkle into their work." The manager turned pale. "Get out of here," he roared. "Get out you idiot - this is a dynamite factory!"
