Rotary Club of New Bedford, MA - Weekly GAM
GAM...A nautical term describing the exchange of news between vessels departing from and returning to their ports...
JUNE 28, 2015
This week was our Installation of Officers Ceremony which was held at The New Bedford Country Club. As usual Alan did a great job hosting this event even with his sick humor. It was nice to have our own honorary member Orren handling the swearing in of Officers. Past President Cheryl thanked all for a successful year and all that was accomplished. She is very honored with the friends and accomplishments that were achieved this past year. President Linda gave a very inspiring speech regarding her goals for the upcoming year. She spoke from the heart regarding the Bridgehome project and her AHA moment. Linda has been a member of the club for 10 years and is amazed with the service the club has provided. Congratulations to Linda and let’s all get behind her to support her for another great year!!!

One More Thing
A man approached a very beautiful woman in a large supermarket and said, "I've lost my wife here in the supermarket. Can you talk to me for a couple of minutes?" "Why do you want to talk to me?" she asked puzzled. "Because every time I talk to a beautiful woman, my wife appears out of nowhere."
