Announcements

Board of Directors Meeting was held on February 13th.  Our Secretary, Linda Silveira will report out the activities of the Board at our meeting on February 20th.

February 27th.  Don't forget to respond to Linda Morad as to your intention to attend the Salvation Army Recognition Luncheon on that date.  Check your calendar and send her an email.  Looking forward to seeing a strong turnout for this event.

Every Rotarian Every Year.  President Jim has been hearing encouraging reports from various Club Members that they are writing monthly checks for $20 to make a cumulative donation of $100 by June to Rotary International Fund.  Have you written your check?  Drop it off with Tom Riley monthly when you come to lunch.

Last Week's Meeting

Whoa!!! What a meeting at the Ocean Explorium...Great Food, a crowd over 60 people and an excellent program.  Explorium Director, Mark Smith, presented an enthusiatic picture of the goals of the organization and what it will bring to the New Bedford Community.  After his presentation, he personally conducted a very thorough explanation of the Explorium Sphere.  At the conclusion of that meeting, it was clear that Mark and the supporters of the project may very well have the winning plan to make the Explorium a destination in the not so distant future.

A great big thanks goes once again to David Biggs who organized the event; got the food donated; and even got his wife Laurie in on the act with her award winning hummus.
